Verizon Moving Care Center To Rolling Meadows, IL
Larger Facility Will Provide Space to Accommodate up to 200 New Jobs, Enhance the Customer Experience
SCHAUMBURG, IL – Verizon Wireless announced plans today to move its Elgin, IL-based Care Center to 1701 Golf Rd., Rolling Meadows, IL, in 2016.
The new space is located in the recently renovated Continental Towers and offers the company significantly more space at 159,800 square feet, compared to the 125,000 square feet the company currently occupies at 777 Big Timber Road.
Verizon employs 900 at its Elgin Care Center which includes Customer Service, IT and Human Resources. In addition, the center is also home to Verizon’s only national online social support team. Employee groups will begin moving to the Rolling Meadows location the first quarter of 2016, with the transition scheduled to be completed by the second quarter.
The new location will provide for a greatly enhanced work environment for Verizon employees, including a state-of-the art on-site cafeteria, health and wellness center and more conference space.
“The move and larger space will also allow us to accommodate up to 200 new full-time jobs,” said Brian Pascoe, region president for Verizon. “The added resources will help ensure we continue to provide the best customer experience in the industry.”
“Our team in Elgin has evolved in recent years with marked growth in our social media and chat teams,” said Joan Bowyer, area vice president, customer service for Verizon. “This move allows us to continue that trend so that we can deliver digital customer support, meeting our customers where they want to be met.”
In addition, Verizon continues to grow in Illinois by adding additional points of distribution and expanding its sales organization. More than 2,400 employees currently work for Verizon in Illinois, 1,800 in the Chicagoland area, to meet the needs of customers locally.

Continental Towers is owned by GlenStar, a Chicago-based commercial real estate investment and development firm. The company recently completed the first phase of a two-phase, $15 million capital improvement plan that features updated lobbies, renovated tenant corridors and washrooms, as well as upgraded elevator systems. Phase two broke ground this spring and includes a fully redesigned site plan, new main entrance, covered pick-up/drop-off areas and a multi-level parking deck. It was awarded LEED Silver certification.
