Punchkick Interactive, Inc. Takes 23,401 Square Feet At 55 East Monroe

55 East Monroe has signed one of the most highly sought after tenants in the market in 2014. Punchkick Interactive, Inc. has taken 23,401 square feet at the East Loop’s premier office property.

“Punchkick is representative of high growth potential technology tenants that landlords covet,” said GlenStar Managing Director Christian Domin. “As these newer firms mature they come to a point where additional resources, access to amenities and diverse transportation options become critical to sustaining operations and recruiting a talented work force.”

Attracted by the overall commercial access and infrastructure of 55 East Monroe, the mobile marketing experts will make the move from 22 West Ontario later this year.

It is an especially notable relocation for a River North based tech firm and speaks to the East Loop’s emerging status as a vibrant 24/7/365, multi-faceted neighborhood.

Added Domin, “The East Loop is a hot area for tech companies as evidenced by other notable tech deals recently signed in the submarket. I think it just proves that today the East Loop has all the ingredients necessary – including proximity to top-rated educational institutions – to be successful in today’s “New Economy.”

In the past ten years, Chicago’s East Loop submarket has undergone a major transformation from a “9 to 5” business destination to an energetic neighborhood where business men and women, homeowners, students and anyone else drawn to a 24/7 environment want to live, work and play.

GlenStar Properties LLC, and partner Walton Street Capital, aided this transformation when in 2005 they embarked on the redevelopment of 55 East Monroe, converting the top nine floors of the a 1.6-million-square-foot property into luxury condominiums. The project, the largest partial conversion of an existing office building into luxury residential condominiums in Chicago history, was completed in 2013.
