Adaptive reuse in the heart of Chicago's Loop

In 2008, Glenstar began converted the top 10 office floors at 55 E Monroe, a 1.5 million square foot building in the heart of Chicago’s Loop, to 220 luxury residential units. The conversion took place while the office portion of the building remained fully occupied. In addition, a 900-stall parking garage was renovated floor by floor, in stages, while remaining open to tenants and public. The project took 3 years to complete and was pioneering in adaptive reuse and mixed-use in the city.

The interior of the condos are finished with the finest luxury appointments, including Italian cabinetry, stainless appliances, granite counters, high ceilings, large windows and terraces. Building amenities at Park Monroe include 24-hour door staff, parking, a pool, whirlpool, fitness center, rooftop deck and theater room.
